Bobby arrives in Norway

We opened the special box on Thursday afternoon and out popped Bobby with many wonderful drawings and letters from Serbia. Bobby was very excited to see our school here in Stavanger, Norway but he also wanted to remember his friends in Serbia so we would love to Skype with you next week. We will email you to arrange a day and time. Bobby had his own bed made for him to sleep on Thursday night and he stayed the night exploring the classroom and getting it ready for the Grade 1 Easter party on Friday. On Friday he read books by Doreen Cronin which he enjoyed (Dooby Dooby Moo is his favorite!) and he enjoyed playing Sharks and Minnows in P.E. He sprained his ankle a little bit so the students made a small bandage for him to wear for a bit to help it get better. At the Easter Party he helped students direct Mrs. Jones to putting eggs together when she was blindfolded and did a great job! He had a busy day and at the end of the day he was given a special welcome gift from the children – a pin to celebrate the up-and-coming celebration of Norway´s Constitution Day on May  17th. All of these are for sale in the shops at the moment in preparation for the day of festivities when Bobby will be sadly have left us. He is celebrating  it a little early!
