Hero met up with an old friend, Mr. Howe, the Vice Principal of our school. Her told Mr. Howe about his adventures last year and the two agreed to keep in touch as Hero travels around the world!

Hero Keeps Fit in the Gym
Hero learned some new exercises and games from Mrs. Lamb. our Physical Education (P.E.) teacher. At our school, students have P.E. class two times per week.
Hero Learns to Speak Spanish
Hero learned some words in Spanish from Profe Vergara. Our first graders love to sing Spanish songs and ask each other questions in Spanish class.
Hero Is A Good Friend
Hero enjoyed spending time with our school counselor, Ms. Cuff. She helped him learn how to be a good friend to other bears (and people too!)
Hero “Checks Out” the Library
Hero loved spending time at our school library. He was impressed with how many books we have, and loved meeting our friendly librarian, Ms. Gonyer!
Hero Learns About Buddy Classes
Our first graders here in the USA have a special relationship with classes of older students at our school. Hero loved meeting the fifth grade teachers who are our buddy class teachers, Mrs. Karalis and Mr. Katz. Our buddies are going to be watching Hero’s adventures alongside us this year!
Hero Loves the Arts
Along with keeping healthy, Hero loves the arts. Be it singing or doing art projects, he likes to share his creativity with the world. In these photos, he is meeting our art teacher, Ms. Kaufman, and our music teacher, Ms. Kaufman!
Hero Gets a Check-Up From Our School Nurses
Hero knows that a big part of being healthy is getting good medical care. Luckily, our Baker School nurses are the BEST! Ms. Purcell and Ms. Mulock gave Hero a check-up, and he got a great report.
Hero Learns to Eat Healthy Food
Hero knows how important it is to eat healthy foods every day. It makes his body strong and his fur shiny! Hero was so happy to meet our food services manager, Mrs. Foote, who helps keep everyone at our school healthy every day! He also enjoyed joining the first graders…
Hero Meets the New Baker Principal
Hero was so excited to meet our new school principal, Mr. Lewis. Mr. Lewis helps to make our school a safe, beautiful place to learn. He will be following Hero’s adventures alongside the first graders this year!
