Freddy helped us learn a very important skill today. We have been noticing that while most of us are very good at telling stories and sharing observations, few of us are sharing our curiosity through questions.
We sat Freddy in the middle of our learning community and introduced a game called ’20 Questions’. Our criteria was the question had to be something you wanted to know and it had to be original, a question no one in the group had asked yet.
Here are some of the questions our students were curious about:
- ED – I wonder why he plays lots at the block centre?
- EE – I wonder where Freddy’s purse is?
- EP – Where does Freddy sleep?
- GT – I like Freddy. Where does he think?
- BE – I wonder what his favourite colour is?
- TT – What does Freddy friends? (Who are Freddy’s friends?)
- LN – Who is Freddy’s family?
- NH – Who is Freddy’s play spot? (What is his favourite play spot?)
- QE – What does Freddy eat for breakfast?
- CS – Does Freddy read?
- OB – How does Teddy’s bowtie come off?
- PS – Where will Freddy stay? (when he’s done here?)
- KM – Where does he eat? What does Freddy eat? Where will he go next? Where will he sleep?
- HV – Where does Freddy live?
- MW -How does Freddy spell his name?
- NM – What did Freddy eat for dinner?
- AM – I love Freddy is family. I love a bears.
- EH – What is Freddy made of?
- JB – Why does Freddy wear the bow?
- DH – What’s Freddy’s favourite shape?
