Jessie’s last week in South Africa was a big one! On Monday, she played Minecraft with us because we’re learning about how food gets from the (Minecraft) farm to the (Minecraft) table. On Tuesday she helped us celebrate the 100th day of school! We all dressed up like we were 100 years old (we actually looked a lot like our OLD teacher!). On Wednesday, Jessie went with us to the opening of the theater where we dance the “Oobey Doobey” and then after school, she went to a Robotics lesson with our teacher. On Thursday, we went to a big basketball competition and then we said “Goodbye” to Jessie because she needs to go to Sri Lanka to meet her new friends. Though we are SUPER sad about her leaving, we are happy for Jessie and her new adventure. When our OLD teacher, Mrs. Langlands, took Jessie to the DHL delivery office, the man who helped her was so thoughtful and careful about Jessie. He talked to her about how to calm down before he closed the box and then said that she’d only be in the dark for a few days but that the new kids would have fun with her.
We made a goodbye video for Jessie and you can watch it below!
