Millie arrived in Deerfield, IL today! We took time looking at all of the photos that the kids in Taipei, Taiwan sent along with Millie and we discussed what is the same about their classroom and ours. We discovered that we have many similar things including our calendar and rug. We do many of the same activities during our day and even noticed that we use the same handwriting program!
Next, the kids brainstormed a list of things they want to do with Millie and show her during the month of October. They want to make sure that she visits all of our “special” classes (art, PE, spanish, library, and music) and our lunchroom and playground. They also want to show her how hard they work during math, literacy, writing and more! We are looking forward to our month with Millie.
