Hi Phoenix Kids,
We finally worked on our reply to your comments.
We are in Early Childhood Learning Center. We are 4 and 5 year olds. Our class name is The Happy Monkeys.
We are learning about bar graphs and we decided making one to answer your question about our favorite country. We got the flags of the countries where Bessie will be and put our name above our favorite one. We noticed that China was the one that had more names and the tallest bar of all. We live in China so this is an important country for us.
We will shared what we learned during our international celebration. We only studied some of the countries where Bessie will be since our study was about our class nationalities.
We know that in India they make beautiful Rangoli to decorate the floor in front of the house.
In China we eat Moon Cakes during the Moon Festival. The families get together at night and watch the moon. Also, we learned how to make paper cutting to decorate the houses.
In United States people eat Mac & Cheese, they bake yummy chocolate chip cookies, they dance the square dance and they like playing Duck, duck, goose.
In Japan, they have a very fun game called “Smash the Watermelon” You get your eyes cover, you spin around and then walk towards a watermelon that is on the floor holding a baseball bat. Then, you just try to smash the watermelon and break it into pieces to share with your family and friends. They play this game in summer at the beach.
About Australia we learned that people there like playing different instruments. They use some clapping sticks to make music and they decorate them with designs that usually include dots.
About Canada we learned that it is a very clean country with beautiful nature. We also learned that it can get windy there.
About Germany, we learned they have a beautiful autumn with nice colors. They have purcupines and deer. Also, we learned that they like making kites and flying them outside but just for a little time because it gets too cold.

Our whole school is a big class.-Detric
Well we know that in India is that they have jungles and that they have dusty planes. Also that they have cobras too. We know that in China there is the great wall of China that it is very long. We also know in China they have a big tower in Shanghai. We also know that we live in the USA. We also know that in Arizona they have a big canyon called the Grand Canyon. We know that in Japan they call Japan land of the rising sun and they also have a volcano called Mt. Fuji. We also know that in Sydney Australia they have a place called the Sydney Opera House and we also know that in the outback in Australia has Ayer’s Rock. We also know that in Canada that they play hockey and they have lots of maple trees. Also we know that in Germany is that they have castles and speak german. Jasmine is 6 and Jed is 8.
I don’t really know anything about the countries that Bessie will go to. Some stuff I know about the USA is the USA has lots of busy places and have lots of national parks. My school does not have class rooms it is a one room school house. We are the Phoenixes. I am 8. Yes I do celebrate Halloween. In the USA Halloween has already past. I was Elsa.
