The children in MBIS are learning about materials and how they change. The children were very excited to share their learning experiences with Karima and find out what happens when paper, wood and metal is burnt. They observed that paper turns into a “black powder”, wood turns into coal (which they could use to write and draw on tiles with) and metal just turns “black and hot”. When the hot metal is put in water it makes a “shhhh” sound and “makes the water hot”.
Karima has also been a part of their puppet making project where they used old socks to create puppets such as elephants, dogs and dinosaurs which they will be using for storytelling and role play.
