Just a quick note to say that Freddy has been real busy here at ISU (International School of Ulaanbaatar) in Mongolia. Yesterday, he joined the first graders in making buildings for their city community; today, he was at a peer massage. Next week, ISU will be celebrating International Week, so Freddy will have to dress up in his national Bearlandia costume.
Anyway, more news later.
Hi Freddy’s friends,
Jasmine: Did Freddy like the massage?
How big is your school?
Dylan: Do you walk a lot?
Connor: What does your school look like?
Grace: Do you play outdoors?
Juliana: Do you have many parks?
Our school has dogs. There dogs’ names are Hank, Sadie, and Briggs. Do you have dogs or animals at your school. Do you have a fish or a bird?
We don’t have a very big school. We only have 20 kids in our whole school. Our ages are Kindergarten-8th grade. Do you have a big school or a small school?
We are very creative. We learn about animals, types of birds, and fish. We make projects. Do you do projects?
What do you show Freddy at your school? Are you his friends? Are you teaching him how to read? Do you play with him?
We can’t wait until Freddy comes to visit us.

HI Phoenix Kids,
Thank you for your message.
We got answers for you:
Freddy liked the massage so much, it made him feel relaxed. We do peer massage at school, before lessons.
Our school has more than 300 children, like a big family.
Some of us come to school by bus; others walk to school, or come by car.
Our school is painted blue, orange and white. We’ll post a school photo soon.
We do lots of play outside, up to -25C in winter.
The National Garden is just in front of our school; we go there for field trips, to plant trees.
Some dogs come to visit, but we don’t really have animals at school; we got lots of plants, though. There’s a group called Ecovengers, and they take care of the environment by planting and sharing their potted plants.
At the moment, we celebrating International Week, so Freddy is busy attending assemblies, or joining parades. He is also learning about Communities – who are the people in a community, how communities work, who are our community helpers, and other things.
We are Freddy’s friends, of course. We look after him and we care for him.
