The students and teachers at Cowandilla Primary School, in Adelaide, South Australia, are so excited to have Teddy spend some time with us. Teddy arrived at Ms Tina’s house in the term break and he met the students on Tuesday. They couldn’t wait to hold him and take photos of him. We were all interested in where he had travelled from so we are learning about Taiwan in our Geography classes. We are also learning about the other countries and cities that Teddy will be travelling to. He must be so excited!
We had so much fun learning with Tessie. She was very well known and well loved by the students last year. It was sad saying goodbye but we all have lovely memories of Tessie through our photos and books that we made. The students also made passports and added information on all the places that Tessie was travelling to.
Teddy will be spending most of the time in Ms Tina’s four Geography and three English classes but he will also be visiting the students’ classrooms. Teddy will be spending most of the time in Ms Tina’s 4 Geography and 3 English classes but he will also be visiting the students’ classrooms. The Primary Years’ choir can’t wait to meet him and have him join in with their singing. He will be a very busy bear!
Ms Tina has connected with Ms Whitcomb from the Theodore Roosevelt Elementary school and we will be connecting with the students and learning about Anaheim and California in the United States. Ms Tina was there earlier in the year when she attended the ISTE conference in Denver, Colorado.
We are busy organising our project on Teddy in South Australia and we will be making a video and book for Ms Whitcomb’s students. We will also add some little Australian surprises in Teddy’s travelling box to help people learn about us!
We will be writing more on Friday when all of the classes learning about geography will spend time with Teddy.
