Building Bridges, Making Play Dough, the Computer Lab, and More!

Teddy joined the children in grade one for science yesterday.

In Mrs. Jones´s class, the children designed bridges from a single sheet of paper, and tested them to see how many marbles they could hold. The children impressed him with their great teamwork skills and innovative ideas. Teddy thinks they are great engineers.

In Mrs. Kinnari´s class, the children in grade one made predictions about what happens when two very different things are combined. In this case, corn starch and hair conditioner. Teddy thought it might turn to butter, because that´s what it looked like at first, but it actually turned into the world´s softest play dough! Everyone played with it before taking it home along with the recipe.

Teddy met a big handbell in music, visited the gym with one of his new friends, and sat with a friend in the computer lab. The children invited him to read and write with them, too.
