And Then There Was Rain

What funny weather Max is having during his visit to Salem.  First he gets caught in a blizzard that dropped 16 inches of snow on the city.  The temperature was freezing.  Then it gets warmer and warmer.  Instead of snow Max now sees the rain come and wash away all the snow.  Today it was warm enough to walk to the Salem Y.M.C.A to play basketball.

Max is all suited up to play on the red team for basketball.

Max also learned about doing good things for other people.  He help0ed us paint piggy banks that we will use to collect money.  We will then give it to the Food Pantry who will buy food for people in need.

What great fun Max had in Tinkering Tuesday! He worked with his partners to build a structure.  The challenge was to build it strong enough so it would not get knocked over when a ball was rolled down the ramp.  Did Max’s building survive?

Will the ball Max is sending down the ramp knock over the building at the bottom? This was one of Max’s challenges in Tinkering Tuesday class.

Soon Max will leave us and head for Italy.  We will miss him.  It is always such fun to show him what we are doing.

Love, The Phoenix kids
