Our class spent the day remembering 9-11 by writing notes of kindness to first responders, doctors, nurses, firefighters, and police officers. We read a book called “September 12” which was written by first-grade students. It talks about returning to life after the horrible events of September 11 and returning to a classroom with a teacher who loves you, seeing American flags flying high and being surrounded by love and patriotism.
Students from Ms. Cowarts SDC-Autism kinder and first-grade class had fun learning and playing with Stevie. They also learned about kindness and colored pictures of Stevie. Beneath the pictures they wrote, “Stevie is kind and happy.” Thank you, Ms. Cowart, for sharing Stevie with your class! Stevie wants everyone to remember to be kind!
