Karima visits Singapore

Karima arrived at Tanglin Trust School in Singapore on Monday 8th October. Her arrival was greeted with great excitement and wonder. She enjoyed meeting 4 Reception classes during her week here.

Karima loved listening to the children’s ideas about how we can make our school environment more sustainable. After taking Karima on a green walk through the Infant School, there were lots of great ideas to share!

Karima helped the Leopard class and our planet protectors to water the plants and reused a variety of recycled materials to create a space rocket. She enjoyed getting messy with the Lion class, making recycled paper using old drawings, water and leaves collected on a nature walk. Karima listened to the stories ‘Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish’ and ‘Captain Green’ with all 8 Reception classes during our assembly.

We look forward to hearing about Karima’s further adventures on her mission to raise awareness of sustainable ways to live and how we can continue to help. Good luck Karima. We loved having you in our school!
